On Christmas day (12/25/16), the Celtics gave fans the present of winning with a 119-114 victory over a divisional rival in the New York Knicks. The Celtics came up big in the spotlight on Christmas day, where they haven't had the chance to shine since the "Big Three Era," of Pierce, Garnett, and Allen. Boston came up big in the clutch - Marcus Smart was able to hit a big three in the final minute and Avery Bradley sealed the win with a timely steal when he poked the ball away from Carmelo Anthony. The Celtics secured the win and made Christmas even more enjoyable for Celtics fans.
