Celtics Defeat Nets 122-117 On Opening Night - 10/26/16

The Celtics barely squeezed by the Nets last night with a 122-117 win. Al Horford and Jaylen Brown looked great in their debuts and the rest of the team looked great offensively throughout the game. The Celtics looked impressive, but a lack of defense by both teams made for a pretty high scoring game. The Nets looked to score with mostly three point shots, shooting 15-44 (34.1%) from deep. The Celtics also looked to score from three-point range, shooting 11-32 (34.4%) from beyond the arc. The Celtics ended the game with 36 assists, the most a team has had on opening night since 2001.

Leading Scorers: Isaiah Thomas (25), Jae Crowder (21), Avery Bradley (17)
Leading Rebounders: Avery Bradley (9), Amir Johnson (7), Isaiah Thomas (6)
Leading Passers: Isaiah Thomas (9), Al Horford (6), Avery Bradley (5)
☘  Player of the Game: Isaiah Thomas (25 PTS, 9 AST, 6 REB, 2 STL) ☘
